What Did You Drink Last Night?

Nancy bought it, so it was just fine. I thought the Alabama Whiskey was the better of the two, for what's it worth....but for what it cost, I won't be looking for any more of either once this is gone.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. The bourbon just had a sweetness I couldn't tolerate.

Rum. A lot of rum.
Whenever I help my buddy do upgrades to his jeep, his girlfriend usually keeps both of our glasses full of white rum and code red Mt Dew (his drink of choice).
We finished installing the lift kit pretty early, but somehow the drinks didn't stop.

It wasn't just last night as I got an early afternoon start. Used the Turbo Tax online edition for our income tax. Finished in record time making it all the way to the electronic filing step. Found two minor omissions/errors and when I returned to the section it locked up on me and I was in a continuous loop to which there was NO escape. Two hours on the phone with their tech support, escalating to their advanced tech......no solution OR rather the solution was to scrap it and start completely over. So Turbo Tax owes me now 5 hours of my life back.... I bailed and went to my go to whisky....Johnny Walker Black. I have a cabinet of single malts but my hand keeps reaching for the JW Black label.

The worst hangover I have ever experienced was after a night of rum-based drinks during one of our tiki-themed parties. :D

Just a couple of beers with dinner. Not something I normally do.

I'm in need of a new beer.

I've got the rum for the heavy drinking nights. Whiskey for a relaxing evening. But sometimes you just kinda want a beer.

Curious Traveler was my go to for a while. It was a lemon Shandy that also paired pretty well with a sweet tea vodka if I was suddenly feeling a bit excessive, but Traveler closed down.

I've tried a few of the trendy beers like shock top or Blue Moon, but haven't found anything I would buy in a consistent basis.

I guess not really being a big beer drinker in general has limited my knowledge.

I understand yer pain Jackal. I personally can't go them Shock Tops/Blue Moons, etc. Actually have a problem with most brews I'm expected to put a piece of fruit in. Although do lean somewhat toward "South of the Border" stuff. e.g. Corona, Pacifico, Modelo, etc. Also can't go along with the numerous IPA's out there today. Too hoppy for me. My normal "fall back to palate cleanser" is a classic domestic like Miller Lite or IC Light.
