Ok... so I'm a bum...

As a great man once said..."It's not the age, it's the milage!"

Me and my boy Nathan went to do some antique bumming... It's cold and dreary, so here I am... No it's not vintage clothing in the picture, just a vintage soul!

The second I put my jacket on... The little monsters want up... God I love my kids!

BTW: Isn't it badluck to put a photographer infront of a camera??? Man I'm getting old! Starting to look like my... Ah never mind!!

BTW:

Fabulous outfits ladies... Again you have me speechless!!

Looking sharp as ever Tech!

Patrick... Welcome to the Lounge! Where in WIS are you out of???

Very pretty as always, lyburnum, even in costume. What were some of the other partygoers wearing?

Thank you kindly. There was no theme so it was all very mixed. We had darth vader, thing 1 and thing 2 from Doctor Seuss, a cat and a fox, tarzan, a ghost, and my friend hosting the party was dressed as a dead Jesse James. I can't remember the others!

And thank you everyone else for your compliments - my only concern with doing audrey hepburn was not doing her justice!

Thought I'd share my outfit today as I think it's quite christmassy! I'm a little disheveled in the photos, forgive me, I just got back from a party, and my hair is all crazy and my dress is all creased... probably should have done this before I set off!

Its a 1950s grey dress with embroidered poinsettia:

this one's a bit blurry but you can see the shape better:

what's that? You'd like a closer look at the poinsettias? of course!:

thanks! I got it from 'the girls gotta have it' at Alfies. It was a birthday present from my intended. i like the bizarre huge pocket.

I think you did Holly Golightly a great justice!

That dress looks like it was made for you! Quite a present - nice to have an intended that knows your tastes so well. Nevertheless, you look exceptional.

On the way to see "1942 Christmas from Home" at Hollywood Theatre in Portland this evening... :)

1942 Christmas from Home re-creates a live Christmas radio show broadcast from Portland, Oregon during WWII, complete with a band, sketches, singers, commercials and period sound effects. Presented at the historic Hollywood Theatre, the blend of humor and poignancy, big band sound and familiar location combine to make an evening full of great entertainment, as well as a touching trip down memory lane for those who lived through World War II.

Vintage trousers, Pendleton wool vest, hand-painted tie, and Brentano spectators. The overcoat is a 40's Fahey-Brockman Donegal Tweed, and my Royal Stetson DeLuxe fedora... ;)

Great outfit! Those shoes are the icing on the cake though - very nice. I've got two pairs on order myself, but they're not as nice as the ones you're wearing in the photos.

BTW, does that radio actually work?

Thanks Choeki! :) Yes, the shoes seemed to get more compliments at the show than the rest of my clothing... [huh]

:eek:fftopic: The radio is a real gem... it is a rare 1936 farmhouse model that is powered by a 6 volt battery.. ;) I have not tested it yet, but all the tubes and wiring are intact.. I have a feeling it would probably work...

BTW: Ada Veen... You look FANTASTIC! :)
