As with most nights, I'm streaming a radio station from back home in Maitland/Windemere,Florida with the call letters of WLOQ 103.1 FM it's a Jazz Station that has "nightly programs" that I actually tune in for & enjoy listening to.

Sade's newest released album has a rough edge to it....right now they are playing :eusa_clap 'Somebody already broke my heart':eusa_clap I really took to 'solider of love' (but :eusa_doh: i'm kinda partial to the military anyway!)

"The look of love is in your eyes.
A look that time can't disguise.

The look of love,
Is saying so much more,
Than just words could ever say.

And what my heart has heard,
Well, it takes my breath away."

Only the most fortunate will ever receive this...:D

My favorite version of the song besides Dusty’s og version(s) is Willie Bobo’s. Willie was a master percussionist. He never made any bones about being a singer. It was just something that he enjoyed. I liken this to Herb Albert doing “This Guy’s In Love With You”. Don Sebesky did an amazing arrangement on this. It’s the best that I’ve heard on this song. Enjoy.

Can’t really get on board with Varsity Drag. Tito Puente did a version of it on probably his most famous record, 1958’s “Dance Mania” and I always thought that it was the weakest tune on there.

“Lock Up Your Daughters” by the Dubliners. This one was only released on a compilation called “A Drop Of The Dubliners”. It’s rare in that respect and the fact that it’s the only tune the Dubliners ever did where Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew shared the verses. Awesome!

Luke Kelly “Days”. This was originally released only as a single. Then it made a now out of print compilation that accompanied a documentary on Luke. Amazing Ray Davies/Kings song made even better by the amazing Luke Kelly.

Now playing, it's Maurice Chevalier in 1932 with one of his signature tunes, from the picture Love Me Tonight, "Mimi." A great Rodgers and Hart number, and likely also an inspiration for Pepe Le Pew.

Next, following commercials for New Anti-Sneeze Rinso and Bath-A-Sweet Bath Powder, back to 1931 with Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians, and a rollicking number called "Elizabeth." No relation, I've never even been to Paris -- and my feet aren't at all petite.

When I was a little little girl, I wanted to be Patsy Cline. Comes with having parents a generation older than all your friends parents. John Barry- Thunderball, Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

"Death of Fiona" is an amazing, suspenseful cue that makes great use of the original, replaced theme, "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."

Many of the early James Bond soundtracks were superbly crafted with a series of themes that could be used to support the situation on the screen.
The soundtrack for From Russia with Love is excellent I also like Diamonds Are Forever and You Only Live Twice a lot.

It was a great day in 2003 when they finally released those expanded James Bond scores. All of the ones John Barry composed are wonderful.

I don't go very long without putting in some John Barry music. What a romantic ba***rd. The Robin & Marion theme from the same movie almost turns me into a human (lol). I've remembered some really bad movies, just because the music was so romantic.

I've been a Jack Teagarden fan since I was 12. I love all of his work. Right before he passed he came out with an album that was elegant and beautiful, "Think Well of Me" (it was his second to last). "Don't Smoke in Bed" is a great representation of the album.
