Starting off in 1929 with Al Jolson blasting out "I'm In Seventh Heaven." He's so full of energy and excitement and happy-happy-peppy-peppy that you just can't help wanting to smack him one.

Next up, following a commercial for Chiclets candy-coated chewing gum, ahead to 1931, with Ben Pollack and his Orchestra and a smooth rendition of "I've Got Five Dollars." That'd be just about right, actually, depending on when the rent check clears.
