Ever since I found out about this guy, Eduard Khil, I have been listening to more of his stuff. He's actually a great singer! Coincidentally, I listened to that same exact song earlier this afternoon. Now this is a song you just can't get out of your mind after listening to it...

I was playing bioshock 2 yesterday when I started humming along absent mindedly. I then realised that I what I was listening to and got all excited! This was one of my favourite's from my Grandma's record collection when I was small. Apparently, I'd sit by the record player and listen to this over and over, singing along. Slightly creepy no? I was a peculiar child to say the least.

The Bioshock Soundtracks have some great 30's/40's gems on them though.

My parents rarely watched it but my cousins in Staten Island did every week so i saw it there on many visits. It comes on one of the PBS stations on the weekend but I haven't seen it lately with the pledge times going.

One thing I like to do is guess what year it is by the clothes and hairstyle of the men & women.

David Shire's score to All the President's Men. At the first few listens it doesn't sound like a coherent score but then it all just comes together. Brilliant work and as understated as can be. The cue "Exit Nixon" is brilliant in its power. Thankfully, no gaps of silence either!lol
