Fun fact, the 1927 Harley JD still exist with side car! http://www.hdforums.com/forum/general-harley-davidson-chat/908528-attention-all-mayberry-fans.html It's on display at Buffalo Smokehouse Barbecue Salida, Colorado.

I was was channel surfing and saw a 1951 movie "Lightning Strikes Twice" listed with a description that sounded interesting to me so I recorded it. Low and behold an uncredited Frank Caddy--who played Sam Drucker in Petticoat Junction/Green Acres show up in a scene as a Gas Station Attendant in a killer leather jacket. Looks to be some sort of a wide-lapeled 1/2 belt type (I don't know jackets well). Now I want one haha. I snapped a couple of screen shots so the quality is iffy, but....

Great pics, everyone. I'm intrigued by the full-auto 1911 and I particularly like John Candy's police jacket.

Regarding non-military photos, it's surprising to me how many men (apparently) wore short leather jackets as daily drivers.
