I just received this new Vanson Maverick. This thing is a beast. I really like it.
Wondering what you guys think of the fit.it's definitely snug in the midsection, but im afraid to compromise the shoulder width and sleeve length if I were to size up. Sorry for the bad selfie pics.

Looks good to me. I've had a firenza weight one for a couple of years and it is still very stiff. It is meant to be snug. Watch the buttons and thread until it loosens up some.

Thanks guys. I did end up having to return it. It may not show in the pics but it's super tight in the mid section. The jacket measures smaller than my actual measurements except in the shoulders.

Update: I took a ride to Vanson yesterday and exchanged the 42 for a 44. Really happy with the fit.
People at Vanson are really nice. Kim took the time to show me how everything things works there and also chit chat for awhile. Really personable.
Everything is made on the premises and looks like they produce a lot for a family run mom and pop type place. Was a nice experience.

Good to know you got the Maverick that fits you best. I had a size 44 which was rather snug in the chest area and the snaps would often pop off with the slightest movement. I sold that and bought a size 46 that provides a more appropriate fit and has become one of my favorite casual jackets. It seems that certain Vanson items run a bit small (as we both discovered). You are sure to enjoy wearing the Maverick for many years to come.

Good to know you stuck with the style and model.
I raised the cuffs on mine and now just perfect for me, a very nice jacket!

Pics?

Do you have to schedule a visit ahead of time? I’m going to Massachusetts for work so I’d love to make a trip if I can.

I just took a chance and went Saturday. It has regular store hours. Figured I'd go eat seafood in Newport area after anyway and at least check out the jackets.
Kim said if I was there on a weekday during production hours, she could have given me a tour. Wouldn't hurt to send her an email in advance I think.

The sleeves are a bit long on mine, but I'm thinking maybe not enough to get them hemmed. Kim also said they could add an additional snap on the cuff to tighten it some.
I'll just wear it and maybe if it creases some it will take up some slack.

Great series of fit pics on your Maverick. The torso/shoulders fit well although the sleeves do appear a tad long. You had mentioned about Vanson offering to put new snaps on the cuffs to provide a more snug fit and that may be the way too go. Still, the jacket is new and over time the sleeves will crease and lose a bit of length which would negate the extra cuff snaps. Regardless, it's a Vanson Maverick and that alone makes your jacket a winning look!

Haha thanks very much. Yes I'll hold off on altering the sleeves for awhile and see if it changes any with wear.
