Btw:
First time I saw Elvis was on the Dorsey Brothers Stage Show in ’56
produced by Jackie Gleason. This I believe was his first TV appearance.
Never heard or seen anyone move like that before.

By the time he went on the Sullivan Show, he was only shown
from the waist up on some of his performances.
All seen in living “black & white” Motorola television with the
rabbit ear antennae.

I did see live on stage Chuck Beery, Fats Domino and a rising
young singer from LubbocK, Tx. Buddy Holly.

They and many others performed at our local municipal auditorium.
Too young to really appreciate the many talented rock singers all
in one building.
