My position is pretty simple: the seller asked a question. The potential buyer and the previous owner was perfectly entitled to respond, “No sir, that doesn't work for me,” or even make a counteroffer. That's how a negotiation works.
What I don't understand is why it had to turn confrontational.
How does turning a straightforward disagreement into a public confrontation help anyone? A little courtesy and perspective would have gone a long way here. Not every disagreement needs to become an argument.
Well, that's how I look at it, but maybe I am wrong.
The last bump is the sale price. Why would I negotiate down from a higher sale price than what’s advertised? That’s just plain dumb AF.

Well, Ton312, let's revisit his actual question: “Despite the current price, would you be open to paying what I paid you to acquire it so I break even?” You could simply have responded, “No sir, that doesn't work for me. I'm willing to pay the posted price.” Couldn't you? I'm simply questioning what was accomplished by taking the more confrontational route when a straightforward, courteous response would have sufficed.
Again, that is what I would do; maybe I am wrong.......

Why would I be willing to pay more than the advertised last offered price? As a seller with far more sales than this guy this type of buffoonery is beneath me. I would never even dream of asking. I’ve donated **** for free here worth more than this jacket. Its principle. And you don’t ****ing get it.

Ton sold it to me for $200. It’s it the exact same condition now as it was then. I asked if he’d be open to paying me what I paid him originally. Seems fair to me. Even exchange. He got butthurt over $75. He couldn’t get the super bargain he wanted. He knows this jacket is worth more than the current asking price. Simple as that.

If you guys don’t like this jacket, the price, or my proposal (private, mind you) to Ton, kindly move along. I’ve been a member here for years and have bought and sold many jackets on this forum with ZERO issues. That track record speaks for itself. And I’ve never posted private messages publicly.
While I can understand you are embarrassed by your own buffoonery, the fact remains you are a scab. Maybe I should also post the numerous messages you sent me asking for advice on all the purchases you made? Would you like me to do that? It’s all recorded here in your DM’s! Know your seller people. This guy is a classic TFL CLOWN.
