Awesome! The Speedy is still probably my favorite watch of all time. I got one on my birthday in the year 2000 and it has been bulletproof over the years. Such an incredible watch. The FOIS is a beauty!

Thanks man, and I have to agree about the Speedmaster as it is also my all time favorite watch-model(timeless design with all the history to go with it, what's not to love?)

So for me the choice of first "higher end watch" was super easy, though it took a good while to chose between the FOIS and the Professional, but in the end as I'm a sucker for vintage designs the FOIS drew the longer straw haha(would love to own a Pro hesalite sandwich to go with it, but that'll have to wait ).

Still get that warm feeling each time I put it on my wrist

I have the solid back Professional with hesalite crystal. I love the warmth of the hesalite. Back when I bought mine, there was only the hesalite version and the sapphire sandwich version. Seems like an eternity ago. You made a great selection! I love the uncluttered dial on the FOIS.

Switched to this vintage inspired Hamilton for Valentine’s date dinner with the wife.

Whichever Speedy you go for, I feel that you can't really go wrong
The Snoopys, Trilogy broad arrow, Apollo's and more, they're all stunners!(albeit the price on some models are "a bit" rich for my taste haha).

ps. love that Hamilton, a bit to large for my baby arms sadly, but a coworker of mine owns one and it looks amazing on him(as do it on you mate!)

I have one of the speedmasters ,the 3220.50, that is the least liked in the Speedmaster community.

In my opinion a real beauty with all its complications (which I admit I can only read with spectacles )

I do really like the 12-6-9 dials and day/month-complications on this model, something a bit different from the rest(in a good way!) beautiful watch indeed
