is staying home and being a mother really being looked down upon or is it just people "thinking" it's being looked down upon? I don't see anyone here saying how terrible it is?

You'd be surprised how many mothers and even other kids have asked me over the years.... "What do you do all day? Don't you get bored?"
Bored.... HA! That's a good one!

They aree such saps. Don't they realize that keeping up a house is work or do you have to kick your way inot the doors of their houses? That stuff doesn't get done by shoe fairies.
Just the cooking, cleaning, dusting, mopping and washing takes plenty of time every day. Carting the children to and from school, after getting them ready and making a decent breakfast and lunch for them of course, is the least of it.
Invite them over to help you out or even just watch and see what they think then. :p

In real life yes.

It is off their .org site. I don't even want to have to go see it again if I can help it. :p

Indeed. They're more damaging to women (IMO) than any jackass men have ever been. See the way they only support "liberal" thinking women. They never came to support the likes of Sarah Palin or Condalisa Rice - this is not meant to be political, only an observation of the hypocrisy of the group. Spare yourself the visit.

Well, I didn't support them either. Supporting someone simply because they're a woman is as idiotic as not supporting someone because they are. And, again, it's yet another sign we're in fact more obsessed with such things in the modern era, not less.

Not sure if you get what I'm saying, but...
If you purport to support WOMEN - but ONLY support women you agree with politically, then you're not what you say you are. I didn't say I support them either, but that's not the point...

Two women oppose each other in a race. Which one do "they" support?

To be honest, I don't care either way -- I don't belong to any identity-interest group. But in the deep weedfield of modern cultural hypocrisy, I think there's plenty of taller growth.

I've had other women tell me that I'm wasting my talents by staying home. I've also had women, at cocktail parties and husband's company functions, ask me what I do, then just sneer, turn around and walk away when I say that I'm a stay-at-home mom.

Their head would likely explode---like a scene from Scanners. I wonder if they are even capable though. Could they cook a real dinner for the family? Could they actually mend clothing etc. I won't even mention the odds and ends like painting and odd jobs around the house.
Scanners lol

Funny you said that.... I had to put another coat of paint on the kitchen cabinets :p

Unbelievable.... except that I've been there  I would never do that to them, so I don't get it.

They're just jealous! Do all those women have children that said that to you? What "talents" would you be wasting staying home?

Just ask yourself how many of those families have weekly house cleaners! All the moms I know who work pay for house cleaners to come in at least once a month. Take one chore, saying cleaning bathrooms. I takes me 4-5 hours to clean 3 full baths. By the time I'm done, the kids come home and it's time to supervise homework.
