I have a new computer, and lost my old favorites list, which contained my list of hat stores. Does anyone know the name of the online store with the excellent Borso selection?
I have bought Borsalinos from Delmonico Hatters (www.delmonicohatters.com), The Village Hat Shop (www.villagehatshop.com) and hats.com (www.hats.com) No one has an extensive collection of Borsalinos, but of those three, Delmonico has most, in my recollection. One of the things I have found is that all the stores with Borsalinos, including JJ in New York city, seem to go for different styles, and what you find in one you may well not find in another. Some of the stores may have commissioned a certain Borsalino style that won't be found elsewhere, for example the Delmonico Borsalino Ernesto, a beaver hat with wide brim, which I haven't seen at other e-stores. So to get the full range you have to shop at multiple places. But I don't mind that. It's fun. If hat buying wasn't fun, I wouldn't do it.

Thanks, fellows

It was bencraft I was looking for. Their prices are a lot lower than most, and what a selection!

Borsalino from LB Village Hats

I just finished playing golf ... 4 days @ TPC Sawgrass in my straw Borsalino.
Held up pretty nice too. Did not blow of fin the wind. Kept sun off of my face & ears.
It was very cool - with the wind blowing thru.
A very light hat. I received many compliments on this fedora.
I bought this from Village Hat Shop in Long Beach.
Unfortunatly, their selection is very limited. Saying that - they have more than anyone else.
Just not enough to suit my tastes. But they had one ... ;8)
For those wishing to get straw fedoras from The Village Hat Shop - here is a piece of info.
The salesgirl mentioned they only get one shipment of straw hats a year.
In around March.
Bit warm to wear my felt fedoras around here ... except at the beach or in the winter.
So I am wearing straw.

Nice. I've been in contact with Sergio of that place before, because of a link on FL. What is the brim size of that Alessandria that you bought from them?

I'm on vacation in Italy and, while in Venice (wife & I are now in Bologna), I found and bought this mint treasure bundle! The hat's a 5 1/2 punti which is my size but it feels a tad too big on me (after 12 years of having long hair I cut it short in an ancient barber shop in Milan) If padding doesn't work I might offer it for sale... iPhone photos, keep in mind. The Borsalino Homburg is a beautiful silvery gray. Will post better pictures when back in the USA.

Aureliano, if you happen to come across any hat shops, I would love to see some pictures or hear some stories. Maybe you will find that ultimate hat that we have always been ever seeking. As you know, they have some different borsalinos over there that we can't get from American suppliers.

I've gone in several hat shops and have pictures that I'll post when back. I was looking forward to visiting, here in bologna, Cappelleria Dante Barbetti that's been around for ever: not anymore. Closed a month ago. Also visited here a Borsalino store just for womens hats.
I visited Cappelleria Malaguti, old as sin as well. Great Barbisio stock but their cheapest was 226 Euros. Quality though, best I've seen. In Milano I visited Cappelleria Mutinelli and bought the last one of his white beaver, house felt (made by Panizza) unbelievable hat. I'll post more. I also went to Alessandria to the Borsalino factory museum. Stay tuned. Tomorrow Florence.

Have you gone to Monte Grappone or whatever that town is called where they make the hats?
