But my favorite TV mom of all time will forever be Claire Huxtable!

I'm with you on that one. I love Claire.
If I were to pick a TV Grandfather I'd have to go with Cliff's father, Russell Huxtable. How cool was that grandfather? Former Jazz musician who had all of these famous friends that would drop by the house for dinner lol.

As for my TV dad.. hmmm... Ward Cleaver. He was fair and his dad talks were always great.

if we're talking who is most like our parents.. Emily Gilmore from Gilmore Girls is my completely my mother

Like many of you, I grew up watching "Leave it to Beaver".
While over the years I have remained young and handsome.......look what time has done to Wally and the Beav...

I knew all to well that not everyone was living in a Ward and June Cleaver household. A lot of the shows I grew up watching did seem to have a different, somewhat controversial take on family life- such as My Two Dads- okay, they weren't portrayed as 'life partners', but they introduced the fact that not all families opporated the same. Or Punky Brewster, an orphan who lived with her grandpa/uncle- cannot remember. Shows with one parent, that kind of thing.

Growing Pains and Cosby Show seemed to reflect how I was raised- dealing with parents, punishments...
