Suede/velours leather-fans?

I think, today, suede is really an outdying category. As far as I can see, suede is still available, but seemingly halfway forgotten.
When I bought my robust pork-velours leather-jacket in December 2007, suede was still a normal thing, but today, it's rarely seen and mostly with astonishing prices, meanwhile. o_O

But with a little luck, sometimes, there are still the good solid-quality suede-jackets from unpopular brands for friendly price. For example, in Germany the solid goat-suede jackets priced below 200 Euro. :)

Maybe, I will get such a nice jacket, the next time. We will see. But I just love brown suede, I tell you! The feel, the look, the solidness. For the connoisseurs, quasi. ;) Nappa/Nubuk isn't really mine.

I have quite an old suede jacket that really should come down out of the loft, I've owned it 30 years & it was ancient then. Should think about wearing it & posting pics :)

I haven't had suede in a long time... just have a pair of shoes left.
If I was getting a jacket, I would get something simple made of it

I'm waiting for my sand color chelsea boots currently now, ordered it last week or so... probably would arrive just when rainy season ends here, anyway I plan to just wear it without pampering it, I kind of like dusty dirty "neglected" suede look for boots, not so much with jacket though.

I just picked up a pair of these RM Williams suede boots for half price as we are going out of suede season apparently [emoji38]

I plan to beat the crap out of them!

Took one of the last chances at my next (probably next year closing) Galeria (Karstadt/Kaufhof) department store and grabbed the cute storebrand basic hazelnut (sheep) suede blouson. I'm happy! :) No padding, no bullshit.

I never had suede jackets until recently. The reminded me of my father’s ultra-suede blazers in the 80s.
Now I have 3 jackets:
A cafe racer, a western jacket, and a trucker style. I also have suede boots: 1 pair are cowboy style and the other are Wolverine 1000 mile. It doesn’t rain too much here, so they work fine.

And man, how I love this smell of new suede jackets!
I tell you, IF I would ever drive car myself again, I would try to get seats upholstered with suede and if possbile steering wheel the same way. This would be lovely! :)

I’ve hung up my Aero Majestic (likely) for the season but it’s an absolute dream of a jacket. Suede has a luxurious feel about it and it’s fun to wear.

I have 1 suede boots, 1 roughout boots and 1 nubuck boots, of all 3 fuzzy leather type I think for potential character and longevity nubuck would grow character easier, nubuck can develop shiny spots quite fast with use and still show creases like leather better than the other 2, so this boots will look cool in beaten up look in no time, rough out boots in dark color apparently look new for too long, difficult to show wear on them. while suede is a bit thin and not as robust as the other 2 I think it has same character to roughout as you can easily maintain them to look new and not very easy to show worn spots.

I've been wanting to find myself a nice vintage suede trucker , but beyond the suede vest I just scored on Ebay I'm not sure I'll be owning much suede.

I definitely have no desire for suede when it comes to footwear, rough out is great and really tough when it comes to working boots but not suede.

I was thinking this morning about what sparked my interest in getting a suede jacket, I just couldn't figure out what exactly sparked my interest.
Eventually it dawned on me.

This is why I found myself wanting a suede jacket.

I have about 9 of Charley's albums and music city USA has been one of my most listened to this past year, I never really paid much attention to the jacket buyi guess seeing it every time I play the album subliminally made me want one.

moleskin fabrics (brushed cotton) is a decent "fix" for suede jacket need, it can be washed when stained, and would still fade and creases like suede

Thankfully I haven't found myself wanting a bunch of turquoise jewelry.
Some folks like Charley Crockett for example and pull it off, but I can't and am not much for jewlery.

Btw you said you've got a pioneer wear jacket ?

How do you feel about the quality?

maybe not on almost every finger like the guy, but I can see the synergy between faded indigo, and sand/camel (cord or suede or moleskin or canvas) and a turquoise ring or something as long as not plural, I don't see myself wearing precious or semi precious stone doesn't fit with my thin physique, imo you need to pack on some weight and perhaps a bit of fat to make sense of big protruding rings like that

Back from maiden voyage. Wonderful, just wonderful. Super comfortable, on the lightweight side and the stretch cuffs do their windstopping job. No padding, so classic versatile. :)
I will remember my "Karstadt" in a good way. Plain old tobacco suede blouson. Can't get wrong with such.
