This piece is all Open Road, without the Open Road designation. Brim is 2 7/8", Crown 5"
When compared to same period 3X, Twenty Five, 7XCB Open Roads it's a clear match with a few particular off-hand details.
1) The Lite designation is just that. It is light, the felt is very soft and equally shape able. I would say that the felt weight is most comparable to that of a period Stratoliner.
2) The Sweat is of the 'shorter' variety. It is quite soft and has the Stars in the Logo Embosement as we would expect in a 50's and earlier piece.
3) The color is not typical of the variations of Silverbelly, but rather a true 'Tan'.
I hope that someone here might have a similar piece or at minimum some insight as to what appears thus far, to be a pretty darn rare hat.
** It's tagged as a 7 1/2, don't you believe it - it fits as a period 7 1/4.
In the last picture you can see the only very minor moth tic. As you might see in the Fourth picture reed has a little 'wobble' thus the down size from 1/2 to 1/4".
