1936 Lincoln-Bennett fur-felt fedora. Gray with a with wide black ribbon and bow. The brim is finished with a raw edge.
Felt is in very nice condition with no dirt or staining and only a couple of light moth nips under the brim and a shallow one at the back of the crown. The grosgrain ribbon and bow are also in great condition with a basting stitch thread needing to be trimmed. The liner shows a vibrant logo with a couple spots of foxing on the silk. The plastic liner tip is free of damage. The leather sweatband is in nice condition with bright debossings and is fairly supple.
The hat is marked as a size 7-1/8 (interior measurements of 7-3/4" x 6-1/2") with a 5-1/2" open crown height and a 2-1/4" brim width. The crown is wrapped in a 2" grosgrain ribbon and bow with purposely frayed bow ends. The brim is finished with a raw edge.
I'm estimating the date of the hat to be 1936 as the Royal Warrants reference King George V (died in 1936) and the Prince of Wales (later to be King Edward VIII -- who abdicated in 1836). From what I understand Royal Warrants end upon the death of the Sovereign.
