Found this funky 50s chair. I dig the gold upholstery.

Very nice! Been looking for one of these for some time. Would go well with the Zaandam clock that is in my kitchen.

Also picked up these 1:43 scale cars made in Italy by Rio. There's three 1929 Isetta Franchinis, two 1931 Cadillacs, a 1931 Rolls Royce and a 1934 Duesenberg.

I'd wear the watch and the ring!...Vostok's are fantastic value for money and ultra reliable IMHO!

Here's Thursday's finds at a local flea market total cost £26, the razor and tie press were a deal at £3...which was nice!

These French bronze wall plaques are roughly 10"x 7", obviously wall hung at some point, I'm not religious at all but just couldn't leave them on the stall for £25.

I had to clean the razor caser case up a bit even though it had never been used as it had quite a few storage marks, but after a quick polish with Autosol for both case and razor then a quick over with soft toothbrush and toothpast a soft soap then all was minty again!

The tie press was clean anyway just needed a quick buff with a duster and polish;

I doubt I'll ever use the tie press it will be a display piece only and stall dressing/ photo prop.

Not a flea-market find or anything. This was given to me by an older man who just didn't want it.

He said he bought it 30 years ago in a country-town antiques shop and had no idea why the hell he did so, since his area of collection has nothing to do with whistles, or WWI. When he saw that I collected this stuff, he threw it in the mailbox for me.

It's a WWI British officer's trench whistle, from 1915.

I found some stuff at the thrift store. A few weeks ago, I found this Indiana Glass Co. Sandwich Pattern Depression Glass creamer.

Just yesterday, I went to the thrift store again. This time, I found what appears to be a candle holder. I would guess it's from the 1960s-1970s, but I could be wrong.

I also found a mug which says Riga on it. Apparently it's from Latvia. I wonder when it's from?

I ordered a second accordion the other day. It came yesterday. It's fun to play. I think it might be vintage. I got it online from an accordion store called Liberty Bellows. It is made by Accordiola (or Adria, but it says Accordiola on it), and it is branded Mundinger.

This set of a fruit bowl with two candlesticks came from a local contents sale. They are Limoges lustre ware, from 1925. The house had a number of absolutely wonderful pieces of arts and crafts furniture, all going for a song...but I had neither room in the house or a means to transport them! Pity.

My brother spotted the jacket at the antique mall. He said "I know you love Satin Jackets, and Cadillacs, and it was an extra large, I knew it was a winner!" He was right! I LOVE satin jackets, too.

Nice finds, Tom. I found a couple of those pictorial steins, like in the far right and left of the first picture, last week, but one was cracked and they were excessively overpriced so I left them where I found them.
Enjoy the jacket when it cools off some.

I remember around here in the 60s and 70s, steins were a dime a dozen at garage sales, because of all the military that were posted to Germany! Back then, for Army and Air Force personal, it was not a matter of if you were going to be stationed in Germany, just when. I wonder where all those steins are today?

Yeah, by then Ball was farming out its movements to Switzerland. Interesting that it was for the Canadian market.

And Marathon, makers of the current US military watch, are a Canadian company but their watches are made in Switzerland.
