Actually I found that 1955 army jacket earlier and was a bit confused about the facts but thinking now the brand must have existed before it was registered in 1960.
Here is my American suit with similar style fabric. I like American suits for summer wear but as year around use those are not suitable in here. Last pic shows whyInterior liner is bit different that I have seen, fifties?
It is Gerald Sampter store product and I Googled it and in some text that was bit expensive side store.

Alright, first post here, got some stuff to show you guys.
Don't really dabble in vintage stuff, but I'm not the modern "Slim-fit" guy either.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. How the heck did I miss that one! What size is the waist on the trousers? This is the best 3pc I've found yet in terms of classic period silhouette.

It's lightish-weight super-itchy oxford, labeled "Silvertone," in a polychrome stripe over navy blue and dates from ca. 1940. (ACTWU tag © 1939 and an over-all prewar cut tell me so.)

With charcoal grey and plain navy trou for comparison. In good light you see tones of maroon, powder blue and an undertone of charcoal.
No visible wear or damage on this babe, altho it was worn (found cigarette or pipe tobacco shreds in the pockets).
Size 46R(!), so it'll need a good bit of taking in. (I've got it pinned up in the pix.)
Another nice one. That lapel width is perfect (to my tastes).
