Nice suit...I have one with the identical union tag, and the date is visible on mine so I'll check tonight.

Mr. Rover said:I like them in illustrations more than on real people- it's an interesting and high class look but very few people pull it off, IMHO. I love the 3-piece black suit, but for some reason the odd vest looks strange to me...the look SHOULD work, but for some reason, it feels off.

Late 1920's early 1930's. I could tell more if I could see that entire label with the details.

mike said:Oh yeah? I will take a better picture when I get home then, is there any kind of online guide for Union Tag updates over the years? I -think- it says under the "of" of "Workers of" 1939, but i could be mistaken... a crisp high res picture will be posted soon, thanks a ton for your help!![]()

Vintage Betty said:This is an amazing suit. Just gorgeous. I think I have a woman's suit with some of these details, so if I find it, I will post it to compare.
Is this vintage or custom?

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I'm pretty surprised this suit is as late as 1939. I'm not an expert in men's suits by any means, but there are a few indicators that led me to believe this was a suit of an earlier year. I learned something new today!
