Received my new alpaca blend scarf today. Wish I had thought to get one months ago.

Funny thing. Supermarket had a good looking bio-cotton crinkle scarf for autumn. 1,90m long! :) I loved the texture!

Damn, we are still mid 70's and brilliant sunshine. I am wearing sandals and shorts for as long as I can...will dig out the scarfs maybe in November the way things are going.

Some days ago, I grabbed this wonderful (cotton) one by Lerros. A little too short for my taste (1.80m). But the colouring was so freakin' mood-increasing, I couldn't leave it in department store! :) Wonderful sunny colours. Never thought to buy another scarf, but this one totally got me!!

Received my "order", today. A beauty.

"Made by neighbourhood" (I paid for the polyacrylic fabric)

My mother got the same in red colours and I found it so nice, that I wanted the same in blue colours. :p

Hirbawi original from Palestine.
Picked it up last year when I deployed to Kuwait.

Very nice. I've been considering picking up a couple of variations on this myself - how do you find it for warmth? They seem light, but I have a silk scarf that surprised me with how warm it was despite being light, so I don't imagine the apparent lack of weight is a necessary indicator of a lack of warmth...

Today I've been wearing an acrylic scarf in a sort of 'soccer scarf' style, bearing the legend 'Pogue Mahone' . An item of merchandise I picked up years ago at a gig by The Pogues. "Pogue Mahone" is an Anglicised spelling of "póg mo thóin", Irish for "kiss my A**". A bit naughty, but so few people realise, it doesn't quite feel the same as wearing an open profanity in public. :D
