Hi everyone! So I got these vintage scarves and not sure which decade they belong to. How do you guys date a vintage scarf on length / width and style?
The fringed ones are roughly the same size. The first one, made by Sammy is 10,6” x 54” or 27 x 137 cm, including 3,9” / 10 cm fringe.
I suppose it’s rayon and probably no more recent than 1960s.
Also the brand was famous during the 60s I think.

The white one is made of Terylene polyester so it is also at least from the 60s, but perhaps it could be mid or late 50s? What do you think? It measures 11,8” x 54” / 30 x 137 cm including a 2,75” / 7 cm fringe.

The paisley one doesnt have any tags, the blue side is definitely wool, probably cashmere but the other side feels like an acetate or other faux silk fiber. It measures 11,2” x 58” / 28,5 x 148 cm including a 3,35” / 8,5 cm fringe.

I do not have a clue at all about the striped one but according to a burn test it is made of an animal fiber, silk or wool blend I suppose. It is smaller, measuring 6,7” x 44” / 17 x 112 cm.

Your help would be much appreciated!
Cheers, Andrii
