I drooled over that picture on his site for about fifteen minutes! To me, that really looks like something out of an H.G. Wells novel like The Time Machine.

Sabine and kpreed: Good taste in aircraft--although I'm personally partial to the Boeing over the Dornier, the entire era and concept of the flying-boat is fascinating...



Thank you I am a big fan of the "flying boats" and the china clippers and what Pan Am did in the 1930s. I am a real big fan of the Boeing 314 too, but they at the end of that era. For Pan Am it all started with the SIKORSKY S-40, S-42 and the Martin M-130, then the Boeing 314.
