Schott 613SH vs Vanson Cycle King fit check (How tight bottom hem is supposed to be on leather jacket?)

The C2 has quite a taper to the waist and if it strikes at the hip area, is likely to be tighter than your Cycle Champ. That is a great looking jacket by the way. With the fit you have with it, I would definitely wear and enjoy. Personally, I don't wear my leather jackets zipped that often for casual wear.

Too bad that there are not more jacket makers offering a short option. Seems more common to see longer options with standard lengths.

I think you are right. I don't think I can zip up the C2 in size 36. Thanks and I agree that the cycle king is one great looking jacket with their competition weight steerhide and very nice quality hardware, I intend to keep it regardless since it's kind of unique considering that it's a collaboration repro.

Vanson Thunderbird?

Yeah, I looked at the Thunderbird too and it's 1/2" shorter than the C2.

But I don't like the back panel since there is no horizontal seam at the bottom and no belt loops (since it's a half belt jacket) to balance out the jacket. It looks as if it's cropped off unnaturally visually.

If you're looking for a shorter jacket (which is whay I prefer as well) try looking for an older Vanson C2 from the 1990s or 80s. The one I have from the 90s is a size 38 and has a 22" Back length. The current Vansons are all too long for me.

Oh thanks for the tip. A size 38 C2 with 22" back length would be great.

Do the C2 from the 90's or 80's have the same measurements on the chest and the shoulders?
