I don't know where you get all of those hats, but good lord, you have quite the collection! and the sad thing is that I wouldd wear almost everything I've ever seen you post and I know that you have a very similar head size to mine, so I think I could wear them. talk about temptations!

Thanks. I am a 7 1/4, so this one is a bit snug. But its definitely worth trying to stretch. If I can't get it to fit it will be available sometime....

ok, I'm making some progress, but I still don't believe I'm doing my posting correctly. I'll work on it. This is a new Stetson Downs in caribou, and it is 79 here today. I came to the realization, this hat is WARM!

Scooter, I know what you mean, I wear my Stetson Saxon appraising and it feels great in the morning, but by afternoon it's getting a little hot. I may have to start the day with felt and finish with straw.

I agree. I read this on a vintage millinery site, and I've seen some vintage Stetson women hats.

Its not really correct. There was a fad in the 1890's and beginning of the 20th Century for Women's Fedoras and "Bicycle" Hats, but the men's version, an Alpine Hat in origin, had already existed and was being marketed under the name beginning in 1882, concurrent with the play Fedora.

A warm welcome to the Lounge and hope to see more.
