Looking for some size guidance from those who have a Pike Brothers Roamer vest. I've been promising myself a couple of these for a few years, primarily as an alternative top layer when it's too warm for a blazer in London's June to August hellheat season, but also that can be worn as a casual waistcoat elsewise through the year. I tend to wear a 48 in a blazer (or a 50 if that's what I need to get a p2p of 26"), but as long as it's not too tailored a fit in the gut, 25" p2p is fine with a waistcoat. It'll never be worn over more than an undershirt and a shirt.
Should I be looking at an **L or an **XL from Pike? Finding their size guides a bit confusing, and I would rather not have to go through the hassle of returning something in the mail if I can avoid it. As much, tbh, out of not wanting a repeat of the disappointment of having to do the same with other brands in recent years, albeit that with Pike I at least know they will accommodate me rather than it turning out I need one more size up then their top end goes....
