There are already quite a few people here who have bought clothes from Pike Brothers.
And I thought it might not be a bad idea to have a thread in which interested parties could get information about the various items. The search didn't turn up any threads.

I'll start with my latest acquisition, the 1938 USN 37J1 Jacket Cadet green.
I chose a size L because I want to wear the jacket in cooler summer weather and don't need a tent where I can wear several layers.
My Deck Zip jacket and the N-1 are also size L.
I think the jungle cloth from Pike Brothers is pretty brilliant and so I wanted another jacket like it, but without the fat fleece/wool blanket. And there was only this one jacket left, which simply has a cotton lining under the jungle cloth.
Patch pockets aren't my thing, but with this jacket I'll put up with it because there's no other way to have them and I don't think they're bad. It's unbelievable how tastes can change.
I still have to measure, but I don't think the size chart fits 100%.

@MrProper the jacket looks good to me - i like the 37J1 model in particular because it is pretty comfy in summer-evenings. The cut 'n shape looks authentic kind of even though PIKE BROTHERS is not that famous for doing accurate reproductions but "look alikes" with a lill' tweak here in there to overcome shortcomings that probably had an negative impact on the original design.

As you just said there "jungle cloth" is pretty spot on - i own one of their N1 in the same material.

The jacket will certainly gain character after some wear 'n some rounds in the washer (no tumbling/no dryer) ...

See some pics of originals:

1962 OG-107 pants

i own them since 2013 and they still hold up very nice

they got some interesting character during the time with nice fading

fabric is sturdy but not stiff and doesn't shrink in the washer (no tumbling / no dryer for sure)

they also have a version in MITCHELL-camo which is on my bucket-list

Whatever i own made by PIKE BROTHERS everything is on a high quality level concerning craftmanship and material

Here is the deck zip jacket.
Also jungle cloth lined with a kind of woollen blanket.
Size L.

Nice fit!

On my bucket-list as well ...

Very early PikeBrothers jacket had problems with the knittings. I ordered a B10 and the elasticity of the knitting around the stomach was actually not existent.

The jacket was returned without any hassle (customer service ++++) so no problem at all.

As for jackets I have the Roadster in moleskin and the Hauler in corduroy.
No fit pics as I usually grab a leather jacket and both need more love.

Also a CPO shirt that I wore a lot this winter, a few henleys and tees and a vest.

I find their sizing charts could be a little more accurate as I have a couple of pants that measured slightly smaller and turned out a little tight. Still wearable but I would not have mind the extra cm.

Re quality I had to sew back a few buttons that unraveled almost straight out of the box but other than that I have no issues whatsoever.

N-1 Deck Jacket Elephant Skin.
I didn't keep it, although I actually thought it was quite cool. But the sleeves at the wrist were far too wide and despite being the same size as the Omaha, it was another 5 cm wider on the body.

That's a cool one. I don't think it's available at the moment.

@MrProper

How 'grippy' are the knits in the Deck Zip jacket as thinking of getting one?

Thanks.
I'm not quite sure if I understand the question correctly.
Do you mean the knitted cuffs? Or the woollen lining?
The knitted cuffs are comfortable to wear and don't scratch. The wool lining may be a little scratchy for someone who is very sensitive. It doesn't bother me. When I put the jacket on, it doesn't push up my sleeves. But that's also because the jacket doesn't have slim-fit sleeves. I would compare it to my heavy cotton drill or woollen tartan in terms of grippiness.

Thank you for that. I meant the cuff and waist knits and you've answered that. I was concerned they may have been a little loose.

Have a RMC Tanker jacket with the melton wool lining and that causes no issues so will be ok the the Pike Bros lining.

Thanks for your quick reply, will order one later today :)

I also have a Pike Bros. 1942 Deck Zip jacket and can confirm that the knitted cuff and waistband are pretty substantial. They both have a good amount of elasiticity and are able to grip wrists and waist perfectly fine without being overly tight.
I’ve also had the Pike 1944 Omaha Deck jacket. Although the wool pile lining is a little thicker than that on the 1942 Zip Deck jacket in reality this isn’t really noticeable. Also, I haven’t found the lining on the Zip Deck version to be at all scratchy and have worn t-shirts underneath it without any problems at all.
Although I think the Pike 1944 Omaha is the best value of this style of deck jacket I am surprised that the Pike Brothers 1942 Zip Deck jacket isn’t more popular than it is.
Perhaps it’s because it looks a little less military and a little more a civilian windcheater.
Either way, I much prefer my 1942 Zip Deck jacket as I find it more versatile and it definitely gets far more wear.

Great to see this thread, I mainly use Pike Brothers for my vintage style clothing, lots of pants, shirts and T shirts, Pike are my go to. My second team are Cathcart London who also produce some great vintage style clothes.

I have a Roamer shirt in a gorgeous yellow/blue/cream flannel, it's a traditionally cut very comfortable shirt that has gotten softer and softer with wear, looks good tucked or untucked. It's an older pattern that's no longer available, I unfortunately haven't found a more recent one that I like very much. They are good value for the price, well made and the quality of the fabric is very good, though not in the league of the best Japanese twills.

This thread felt like a call to action this Saturday morning haha.
Big fan of PB stuff. I always say that if I had to choose one brand to built my whole outfit from scratch it would be PB. With some help of a local tailor.
Main issue for me is the sizing, especially their pants being extremely oversized. I have tried their smallest size pants (28) and was completely swamped by them.
I especially love their vests, but they do require some tailoring for me as well. Gorgeous stuff, extremely well built out of fantastic materials.
Overall I'm extremely happy with every single PB item that I own and I would gladly buy more of their stuff in the future.
More than half of these items I bought 2nd hand - the market for PB 2nd hand stuff is great in EU, especially in Germany on kleinanzeigen.
Sorry for the crappy photos, I did a speedrun photo shoot.

1 . Cigarette pocket shirt in XS
As you can see I'm pretty swamped even in the XS! Works great with the vests though.

2 . Elephant skin vest in XS.
It felt pretty decent in the bottom section and too narrow in the top section when I bought it. Didn't stretch. The tailor (+me soaking and stretching) expanded the top section, and took in the bottom section a bit. Result is a very tailored fit. Shame it really rides up when I sit. Incredible fabric!

3 . Salt'n'pepper limited edition vest in S. Fantastic fit after the tailor took in the waist. Gorgeous fabric!
1743844554894.png

4 . Wool (felt?) vest in S with beautiful wood buttons. Same story as previous - fit's very nice after the tailoring but left it a bit wider for layering. Fabric also has more give on this one. Great for winter, especially with leather jackets that have room in the body but not so much in the sleeves.
1743844647463.png

5 . Size S N1 jacket in waxed khaki. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Extremely comfortable, great for layering, fully lined in wool (including sleeves). Negatives : inside pocket could be deeper or have a snap, handwarmer pockets could be lined and be deeper, buttoned collar should be wider / more roomy (can't really use as is).

1743844820005.png

6 . Two henleys, both in S I think. Love the cut, love the fabric. Exactly what I want from a honley. The waffle one is also so classic / old school.

1743844898995.png

7 . And the most controversial one.. The long john in red! Christmas gift to myself. Daughter says I look like a Christmas elf in it. I don't mind. Such a festive way to sleep. Reminds me of old western movies. Sometimes I wish it had one of those funny butt openings..

So yeah, I would wholeheartedly recommend PB stuff! Big fan :)
