Hello everyone,

After taking all of your advice into account from my "Best Leather for a Lifelong Jacket?" thread back in May, I ended up ignoring pretty much all of it and instead decided to go with Tumbled CXL FQHH. After finally receiving the jacket today, I decided to take it to the one place where a badass leather jacket like this could do the most damage. That's right, gentlemen...I'm talking about the grocery store. Buckle your seatbelts, because things are about to get pretty wild around here.

All the best,

Maxwell von Chesapeake

PS - I think my girlfriend wears it better than I do. As such, I abandoned her in the parking lot.

Very cool jacket. Congratulations.
I like the tumbled CXL. And yes, you're right, your girlfriend wears it better
Thanks, man. Your Ridley was actually the one that got me thinking about this style way back when you first posted it.

As for the girlfriend, she's probably still wandering around that parking lot, so feel free to go and find her. She loves modeling jackets that don't belong to her, so you'd be able to keep her busy for months. When you finally do get fed up, though, just drop her off in a grocery store parking lot and let the cycle begin anew.

If you're going to do CXL for a slim jacket like this, Tumbled was definitely the way to go. There's great drape there which you wouldn't have at all with stiff CXL panels. You both wear it extremely well so you'd better put an order in the queue in for her.

That looks awesome - the tumbled CXL looks really nice - was it easy to wear or slightly stiff when you first got it? Ive been thinking about something from Aero recently and this and the badalassi are the main contenders. The tough guy poses in the grocery shop are the icing on the cake. Bravo all round.

Great jacket, but let that belt dangle and live free!

I've seen Schott do that on some of their jackets.

Yes, it’s a feature on most of their premium jackets. I dislike it, personally. I either want the belt fastened or want it to hang like a greaser or a Ramone. The in between of “undone but in place” is odd to me.

I did like how Aero handled it on my Indian Ranger. The loop is fairly close to the buckle (which itself is less heavy duty than Schott’s current standard) so the belt mostly stays in place without looking like it’s artificially floating.

Love the last image. She rocks it. She looks like a model! Is that the sprouts in Claremont?
