It’s very nice, also very expensive for the style.

That's what I always thought about styles like, say, Maxwell or Workcoat. It's a typical eastern European leather coat that you can find at literally any flea market here for like $10 or less and most are actually of a very decent quality, some being extremely nice. But yeah, it's a style I'd never buy for that reason but I guess it's the same with jean jackets. Plenty of them in the US but here in Europe, a good leather trucker is still somewhat exotic.

I'm not sure I understand the complaints about the price...

I know the style is quite common in the US but a leather jean jacket is a rare sight compared to any regular cross zip style, like the Perfecto or something even more standard like, I dunno, a HWM or a Half-Belt.

Also, look at what some other shops are charging for their truckers. I mean...

And it's not a particularly spectacular jacket at all.

Sure, 800 GPB is a lot of money but I don't see why Aero's should cost any less than a LW or any of that Japanese stuff. The lining is certainly nicer.

Definitely NOT Vicenta HH. Did somebody say “FleaBay?”

Chevignon makes some really nice stuff though. Search around this site and you’ll find some real beauties. One that Monitor posted a while back, police-type jacket if I recall correctly, I’d take over any Vicenza jacket. But I like heavier jackets.

Yep. The cop one that I had, probably the most gorgeous leather I've seen. Much nicer than Vicenza.

Chevignon, together with Lee Trevor used to make not only some of the finest stuff on the market but they'd do very rare and obscure vintage styles, like the early Levi's Type 2 (?) above, decades before the Japanese caught up. Shame nobody cataloged any of that.

I had Chevignon clobber back in the late 80s / early 90s. It was v cool and well made, but nowhere near as expensive as it is now.

Typically, I've found the sleeves on the Type 3 jackets are always too short for my liking. So this finally give me the option of ordering one with longer sleeves. Unfortunately, the Troy Mills wool lining would be much to warm for around here. And I can't wear anything with wool anyway. So lighter, more comfortable sateen lining and a price reduction would make this seriously tempting...especially in the Blackened Brown Vicenza.

Can't help thinking these jackets look better in cotton rather than leather as they were originally meant to be (i think). A very 70's look that i could never pull off.

Not feeling this at all. I like @Monitor’s black Lee type jacket but this denim lookalike with the blue leather, gold stitching, jean buttons and red tab make it look daft.
