Need help identifying a BUCO J-100: New fit vs. Old fit?

Hello everyone,


Greetings from South Korea! I am a huge fan of The Real McCoy's and BUCO.


I am currently looking to purchase a J-100 and recently found a jacket I am interested in. However, I can't quite tell if it's the new fit or the older fit, so I was hoping to get some advice from the experts here.


On the back of the tag inside the pocket, it is marked as <191-1-03>.


I've noticed that recent models seem to have codes like "211-AA" written on them. Could this mean the one I found is an older model?


I have attached some photos for your reference. Could anyone kindly help me confirm whether this is the new fit or the old fit?


P.S. If there is a specific way or detail to distinguish between the old and new fits, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your knowledge with me!

The best way to tell is the back. On the old fit the straight seam on the back panel is almost exactly aligned with the seams at the back of the sleeves.
Let me try to dig out some photos I have to outline this for you..

This is the old fit, there are approx 3 stitches from the seam running horizontally across the back and the seam on the back of the sleeve

This is the new fit, something like 7 stitches between those 2 seems.

Its very subtle i know, but from experience its the only way I can really tell which is which. The new fit has more space to allow larger arm holes, the old fit is very restricted in the shoulders and arms.

I had the old bj9110 model and now I have the new bj19110. The new model has black zippered pocket fabric, and the old one has a beige/brown color; this way you can identify them.

Oh, that's a great tip!
The inside fabric of mine is black too.
This is definitely a surefire way to tell them apart.
