P.s. the one I tried on was the 25th Anniversary model

Noted, thanks. Y’2 has only ever made 2 grizzlies, one on their 20th and 25th anniversaries. The one I’m looking at is their 25th anniversary model, so that’s very helpful.

How would you compare Y’2 Grizzly to Mister Freedom Baloo? I’ve handled MF Baloo in person so I can use that as a point of reference.

I was surprised you said Y’2 Grizzly is “long in the body.” I’m looking at tag size 38, which measures back length at 21” from bottom of neck and 24” including mouton collar, which is relatively large.

The feel of the y2, was great if it fitted me I would have bought it.

I have two mister freedom (black/black and black /gold)

I love the fit, sits nicely on my waist. I'm 5'9

I would say quality wise the y2 is nicer.

My toys is my favourite

Out of curiosity, do Grizzly jackets have a “western” or “cowboy” vibe? Much in same vein as cowboy boots and hats?

How do you feel about wearing a fitted fur vest on top of a leather jacket? That’s how you should view it.

I personally think the answers to your questions are no. But Millennials and Gen Z might perceive you as pro-exotic animal cruelty, a little more than just pro-animal cruelty for wearing a full grain leather jacket.

I view them as an adult varsity jacket, I'm too old to wear the college style, but I do think the raglan shoulder looks great.
I sometimes forget how different they look to Modern styles

Thinking about an Aero Grizzly - I’ve taken the classic route from thinking they look ridiculous to wanting to scratch the itch… anyone have any advice on sizing?

I’m a modern 44, occasionally 42. Would I be looking at an Aero 42 in this style?

There’s a stock 46 on the Aero site with a length of only 24.5 inches - shorter than I expected. Is the fit as cropped as the numbers suggest?

Would be open to another maker, if anyone has suggestions. Less keen on the Japanese makers.

I have an Aero Grizzly in size 40 that I bought years after first encountering that model and thinking it ridiculous. I’m usually a size 42 in most things and have a 42-inch chest, and I can wear anything from a T-shirt to a thick flannel under it. Of course, I bought it new and referenced an older size-40 Aero Sheene that I bought new when ordering the grizzly, so they may have just nominally chosen to apply a size 40 to the Grizzly.

You need a 44 like me. I'm wearing a 44 in the pic above. It's plenty roomy and I can layer a hoodie underneath. I'm 5'11'' and 205-210.
