I love this thread! Everybody has the most adorable pets. I'm a sucker for animals.

Here are 2 of our babies. The red tabby is Moses, affectionately known as "Moe Cat." Thusly named because he was brought to us by my mother-in-law as a 3-week old kitten. He was abandoned in her backyard and we think his mother may have been hit by a car. :( We had to raise him on kitten formula and a bottle, feeding him every few hours, until he could eat regular food. We refer to him jokingly as "cat child." He really thinks we're his parents, and is absolutely not at all spoiled. lol

The basset hound is Bradley, full name Omar Bradley. (Yes we also have another cat named Wainwright.) We adopted him from a family who could no longer care for him. Very sweet, gentle dog. Loves my husband more than anything, and absolutely loves our cats.

Here's Moe on my bathroom counter, lounging while I get ready in the morning. Check my vintage product display in the background. lol And yes, that is original 1958 pastel blue bathroom tile.

Here they are on our living room sofa. Please excuse the "devil dog" eyes.

I always seem to pull out pictures of Rudolph when this subject comes up:

She is a very photogenic bunny, no?
I have 7 rabbits, 4 of them are wild rabbits..Rudolph is a wild rabbit but one would never guess, she behaves pretty much like a dog.
She is NOT named after Valentino, she is named after the red nosed reindeer :)

How does a Jack get along with all those kitties?

When he came here as a pup we already had a cat {who passed away two years ago} so he kinda grew up living together with cats. Doesn't mean it's always peaceful here, cause he's a very dominant little dog. I call him my Jack russel terrorist :) but they get along well together generally.

That made me chuckle :D We call ours 'little terrierist' ...

It is the moodiest little creature I have ever met. One time sweet as sugar, next moment a mischevious little critter.

I never wanted a small dog in the first place, but alas, he landed on our doorstep (some years ago).

He blackmailed us, ate all our cheese and garlic bread, managed to have 6 girlfriends, took off on romantic tête-à-tête on various occasions, has fathered 7 puppies (planned, I might add), keeps a 'secret' stack of chew bones in the guest bed (made for interesting moments) ... and I could go on. So, keeping us constrained, he is still here ...

Jacks are "big dogs among the small ones". I hope it makes sense what I just said lol

But my goodness, Gilboa, that's a pretty Jack you have there! Looks like a Parson, am I right?
And by the way, all that you are enumerating sounds so familiar to me :whistling

And again you think the same way, I keep explaining to people that jack russells are 'Big dogs in a small body'. :)

You are correct: he is a Parson Jack Russell.

Or lots of patience and a pocket full of doggie treats :) , although i can never photograph our Mr Bear as he scarpers the minute he sees the camera.

Going back to earlier comments about the little fellas being big dogs in small dogs bodies', i swear our Mr Bear thinks he's a Mastiff, or part human part Mastiff at the very least.

Berlin - sorry forgot to congratulate you on the lovely photos and everyone else too, i love this thread! :eusa_clap

Funny you say that; I was quite stunned about how calm the pets were when placed on the set. Like I mentioned; our white cat Shanti hates everything but herself and my mom. But somehow..my aunt placed her on the dining table {which was the set} and she was as meek as a lamb. The others lóve attention so they were less hard to shoot, but still they were calm nonetheless and were on the set for a full hour without losing interest or walking away.

So yeah, that quite stunned me. Don't know how she achieved that.

I had a vet who was like that, my Samantha would cry at the Vet's office until he came in.
Then she'd sit there quietly while he examined her, without a peep or trying to get off the table.
She's the same way at the groomers, quite and well behaved until Dad comes to pick her up.
Once she realizes I'm there she starts to cry, even at 15 years old she's just a big cry baby.

This Daisy, a Terrier mix. She was actually born here at home. A better watchdog you cannot ask for! Her mom passed away five years ago.

This is Mojo, a Corgi mix. The old man of the pack. He used to belong to my sister and she gave him to me 'cause her husband wanted a bigger dog. You wouldn't think to look at him but he can rocket himself 6 feet into the air as he chases the squirrels.

This is Blinky the MinPin, most infamous of Minature Pinschers. This dog takes the cake...No really, if he gets half the chance, he will take a whole cake! He thinks HE'S the alpha dog around here.

Captured earlier today — and they think we don't know! :D

Tilly: "Did you see that?"

Glo: "Ridiculous, what did he look like?"

n725635470_5070300_7591.jpg

Glo: "I said to him, 'You can't go out looking like that!'"

Tilly: "He hasn't even got the whiskers to see if he can fit thru a door or not!"

Tilly: "I hope he comes back!"

Glo: "I'm hungry!"

Tilly: "Don't worry, he'll be back..."

Rude Once Too Often
"Modi one of my Italian Greyhounds went blind last week, he may have been loosing his sight over a period of time, but when I came home one afternoon he was sitting in the middle of the sitting room floor ignoring me. He was a bit timid and would not go into the garden, however, now he is carrying on as if he can see, he is not bumping into anything and can run in and out of the garden with ease, which involves some steps from the french doors in the dinning room. he also seems very happy!! and playful again, so it is quite a relief, the Vet did say they become accustomed to not seeing, but I am really amazed with how well he copes"
