Ironheart N1 Deck Sizing

What makes Buzz Rickson cooler than ironheart? Seems like the same construction

The BR felt thinner, both the canvas outer and the wool/alpaca liner. I also bought it in a size medium, so trying to get any layer under it was a struggle, which may have been the issue, but I used it just a few times before deciding it wasn't for me, and sold it, so I can't give you actual data at this point.

If you want warmth then from my experience the Pike Brothers is going to be better than the IH. I've had both and the Iron Heart isn't an overly warm jacket on its own. Hence its useful to size to layer with it. I preferred that as the Pike Brothers was often too warm here in the UK. Can't comment on the other brands.

Awesome really appreciate the insights. Freewheelers is too rich for my blood so I think it comes down to Buzz Rickson or Pike Brothers for me. Are the sleeves lined in wool on the Buzz Rickson

The BR I had did have lined sleeves, don't recall if it was just wool or the blend of wool/alpaca they use in the body. The sleeves on the BR were also the shortest of all of them, which was my biggest issue - I have very long arms, would prefer a jacket with 27" sleeves, I think the BR was like 24".
