I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say welcome, I've only been here 5 minutes myself!
Sure you can. I have two A2s one is a Cooper modern black A2 Tomahawk. The other is a seal brown goat skin US Wings A2. I also have a Cooper G1. I bought them all new over the last 20 years. I'm not a replica kind of guy as I have a modern grampa bod.

I think your Aero Bronco looks really good and comfortable. I would leave it as it is a learn to appreciate that in this case, perfect is the enemy of good and in the case of A2s, a perfect fit is a chimera very rarely reached.

In which case, welcome! Quite the collection you have, I'm having enough of a job breaking in one jacket..!

I appreciate that, thank you.

I realise I'm another newbie cluttering up the place with another A2 fit post, but this whole process has been very reassuring, I appreciate you all entertaining me.

Well, following my post a week or so ago I've done a couple of things...

The first is accepting some elements on the jacket for what they are - it's a bit tight on the shoulders, but that's A2's generally. Also the shoulders hang off my own a bit, but this is a frequent trait on old pictures so I'm in esteemed company.

The second was to contact Jules Bloom in the UK, after finding a recommendation for him on another thread by a chap called Brettafett to talk about tightening up the knitted waistband, as that was something that could be dealt with. (thank you Brett)

I'm happy to say the whole experience was great. I posted it to Jules on Monday, and I'm wearing the returned jacket now, on Friday morning.

The waistband is 100% better, the work is great, there are no unused stitching holes visible so I presume he's used the original stitch holes.

the jacket fits (imo) lots better and has the classic A2 look I've not had since the purchase.

Far happier with the jacket, I 100% recommend Jules, and the bonus is it's ready to wear while watching Masters Of The Air later :D
