How long does it take to make an Aero jacket

I ordered it in August 13 and got it confirmed on Sept 12.

I believe when I ordered it, the website said 8-10 weeks wait time. Website now says 10-12 weeks? So is it 8-10 or 10-12wks?

And is it from the order date or the confirmation date?

Ordered on Aug15, confirmed on Sep03 and my status is still on 'customer confirmed'. Don't worry, it will arrive. With other makers is much much worse.

I believe you are not made for "delayed gratification".
It’s definitely harder for some of us…
My first two custom orders were both Aero’s through Thurston Brothers and the wait just about killed me. It was not until I had at least four or five custom orders under my belt that I was able to relax and just wait for it.

The hard thing for me is waiting beyond the stated estimated timeline. I'm good with what the craftsman tells me (8-10 weeks, etc.) But on week 11, I break out in a cold sweat.

Me too, I almost wish they wouldn’t provide a timeline, but if that were the case, nobody would ever order from them. I’ve had a couple of makers (Langlitz and Wesco) deliver the product in half the promised time, that was a very pleasant surprise.

I was just about to mention, that my MTO Langlitz took 12 months, right on schedule.

It's also quite intricate, difficult work here, the machinists likely need a solid break once in a while.

They have the whole thing on their site about their production slots at Aero which mean you'll get an order through them quicker; my order through them took twice as long as any through Aero direct lol. And the best part is from the production date on the tag, they weren't actually wrong... they just didn't send me my jacket until three months after Julie made it.

Yep, and they always have a perfectly good explanation as to why it is taking just a bit longer then promised…
I have to say, though my most frustrating jacket experience ever though was a custom order directly through Vanson. It was still pretty early in the pandemic, and they clearly were not back up to speed. I think I ended up getting the jacket four or five months after the promise date. At one point I tried to cancel the order but was told that my deposit would not be refunded If I did.
