I think ton you're trying a bit of a storse scam of your own, here in horsehide comparison thread. You wouldn't be selling a Steer as a horse now would you? ;)
To my knowledge there is no difference between the tanning of the two hides...It's not really of much consequence I suppose...

Wrong. Horween is usually a CXL Veg combo while Shinki uses a process that none other use. Using mimosa bark for tanning. Most hides take six months to a year to cure.

Talking about steer vs horse CXL tanning. Shinki we all know is tanned in a completely different way. Didn’t know about mimosa though. Learning new things every day is what keeps me alive.

My pick? CXL for boots, Shiniki for jackets. Not expert. Just to show my preference. Shiniki Jackets x 6, CXL boots x 6+.

LoL)
Sir, seriously - it makes no sense to argue with Ton and Carlos about good leathers, 'cause both gentlemen (as many other senior FL members) are very knowledgeable in the subject of discussion, having lots of their own practical experience in this hobby.

BARTENDER EDIT: Comment deleted. Differences of opinion are welcome in these parts; unpleasant attitudes are not.
