Specifically, most likely a "green naped lory" varient. Playful as a kitten, poops like a squirtgun. Now stilled. I'm in great shape for this morning's job interview. I keep thinking I'm going to hear him vocalize anytime now... then I fall apart again.
I am so sorry for the loss of your much beloved parrot. Please accept my sincere condolences. I am a firm believer in animal heaven and they all free to roam and fly with abandon. And I sure you baby is there.
Rondo, You've dealt with a lot of loss in the year past and the loss of your companion must be devastating. Hold on to your memories and celebrate the wonderful years you had with him. The pain will lessen in time but your bond will always be there. My condolences. Carter
Here I am a little late adding to the very long list of condolences. I'm so sorry for your loss Rondo. I know it doesn't help to hear it, but I do know how you feel.
I do hope that you soon get some relief from the hurt that you are feeling. Know that you have a lot of friends here and elsewhere who care about you and will keep you in their thoughts and prayers.
Do take care,
Daisy
I'm really sorry to hear of your loss, Rondo. The loss of a beloved pet is the loss of a family member and it leaves you feeling very empty. One of my dogs is 12 years old today and I can't imagine life without her. I wish you strength in the days to come.
First preliminary necropsy report from avian specialist provides no answers. There may never be any. She is acquainted with him, said he was a young guy, should have gotten older. Mystery blood tissue inside body cavity, but not related to fatality. No idea how or what. Liver lower lobe enlarged, but again, not fatal, but he just got through fighting off a bug, a real fight the last 60 days, which we all thought he had won. His recent tests less than 10 days old showed that. Stool on cage papers told her nothing. Test results to come in a week. Doctor told me she knew he was loved very much, and intelligent as birds are, he knew that. Maybe he went first to make it easier for me when my time comes.
Carter, I can't see the trees for the forest: "...you've dealt with a lot of loss in the year past and the loss of your companion must be devastating..."
You are very perceptive where much for me is hard to understand.
Thank you, all you very kind loungers, and for your patience with this very blue rondo.
'The King of Terrors', a sermon on death delivered in St Paul's Cathedral 1910
Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

I just read this mate, and my condolences. I wish I had read this sooner so that I could have given you a call to see how you're feeling. Please let me know if there is anything M or I could do. We'll be in Pasadena by next Saturday afternoon.
