hat racks help needed

does anyone else have trouble with hat racks not working properly? mine actually broke after a short time because it was pretty weak and low quality. it kept tipping over and didn’t really hold the hats the way i expected. i am not sure if i should try fixing it somehow or just get a new one. if so which type or brand of hat rack do you recommend? any suggestions would be appreciated.

I will share some pictures soon. The rack was a lightweight stand that bent and tipped over pretty easily. Do you have any recommendations for sturdier options (maybe wall-mounted or with a weighted base) that actually hold up better

i researched the best hat racks as i have recently been trying to get my entryway organized and keep my hats from getting crushed. i have been experiencing clutter with my coats and hats piling up and it has been driving me a little crazy. i went through reviews from trusted sources like the spruce and wayfair and after comparing many options these two kept coming up as the top choices:

Ive gone a few different directions for hat storage. First was an old fashioned coat rack that lets hats nest well, but needs several more hanging posts. I picked up a round, rotating sales display rack that works really well but can be a bit top heavy. rotating levels make it east to "scroll for todays hat". I usually drape a couple of sandbags that I use for leatherwork projects to add some weight to the base to stabilize it. May favorite has been the wall mounts. Hats on a wall stay out of harms way well. Only issue is running out of wall space to mount them on. For single hat display I often use whisky jugs, hat blocks on hands and my old hat stretcher... makes the dining table look cool


The reality is that I still have several loose hats stacked all over the house lol

Check Amazon..... they usually have whatever you want under any number of "brand" names ( theyre all the same and all Chinese). Not fancy but they work decently. Wood and heavy wire are my favorites. If a rack looks the same as another one of a different brand name, it most likely IS the same.... hunt through the site because prices can vary quite a bit from seller to seller. Word of advice if you think you need enough space for 10 hats..... buy enough for 20 hats.. Socks disappear, but hats multiply like rabbits

Between the hats, framed hat advertising on the wall, and all sorts of hat tools ( not to mention several old family antiques).... I feel like Im waking up in a cool antique shop. Not much in the way of chrome or modern stuff in my abode. My hats are part of the decor and ambiance.... not just something that needs stored
