Hückel Jota Seal Velour in black. Size 57 with the raw edge brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the center dent. As expected the felt is incredible on this hat. Only n i g g le I have is that the liner is sagging. Have to figure out a way to remedy that.

The status remains the same up to 1979. I will include the 1980s when I have that information.

Mayser made hats under the Parker 713 Broadway New York brand name starting in 1960 (image from 1966). They also tradmarked the Hilton brand name in 1962 but no image is available.

Some straw and felt related trademarks from late 50s and early 60s.

@mayserwegener , I just got this one in new to me. Is it possible that this could be one of the 1960's era "Hilton" Hats made by Mayser, referenced (but not pictured) above?

Hello Jeff, Super find! Highly possible it could have been made by Mayser. The paper label descriptions are similar. Can you please provide a photo of the entire paper label? It's later so I would have to check some of my later Mayser Soft Felt Hats.

R. & M. Wegener, "Seta", possibly early 1960s. This is one of a 3 Soft Felt find that came from the "Josef Faller Paderborn" Hat Store. The Fur Felt is a Mélange with a Rauh Finish. The Mélange Felt is of medium Weight and is easily Dry Creases. The Paper Label is missing and most likely fell out. This is the first R. & M. Wegener "Seta" I have encountered. An interesting Band material and is Pug like.

Dupont Quilon was used on leather so this for the Sweatband.
