The black wide-brimmed, 1967, The black Mayser ASCONA of 1968 and the blue one from 1978 with a beautiful grosgrain ribbon.
All Hats in mint condition.

By the way the only hat company I have come across that consistently (going back to the early 1900s) displayed (on the paper label) the production year was P. & C. Habig.

This is the P. & C. Habig sweat band with a November 29, 1940 stamp.

This is paper label from the same hat. The last two numbers are the production year ######/###/40.

Steve- Sure, thats possible. Habig Date is same as the stamped. But Mayser has no system in stamped sweatbands.
I have also Maysers with no stamped in it.

No other Habigs with a date stamp on the sweatband (that I can remember) but I believe the last number on the Habig paper label number is the year of production. The Habig paper label number format remains consistent into the 1960s.

This hat maker was out of East Germany (Ernst Gierisch, Zwickau) .

I contacted the DE eBay seller and this is what he had to say. I will have to check back with him on the current situation.
