J. Hückel´s Söhne, Metal Hat Plates, 7 cm x 2 cm, possibly 1920s.
I'm sure I'm one among many who are thankful he did, Steve.Steve, I think the guy just gave up and sold me everything.
Steve, all these hat plates, tags, metal and velvet and whatever of nature are wonderful to behold. Wish I could see them in situ.J. Hückel´s Söhne, Metal Hat Plates, 7 cm x 2 cm, possibly 1920s.
Steve, Yes they are really great. Stefan deserves the credit for this find. It just turned out to be more pieces than expected.Steve, all these hat plates, tags, metal and velvet and whatever of nature are wonderful to behold. Wish I could see them in situ.
Their designs are so on the cusp of art nouveau / art deco that they are definitely somewhere between 1910s to 1930s, so 1920s is definitely a possibility.
Great finds and well deserved in your collection.

Stefan is the prince of enablers. More pieces sounds like a great added bonus, Steve [emoji4]Steve, Yes they are really great. Stefan deserves the credit for this find. It just turned out to be more pieces than expected.
Matt, that is one adorable Hückel.

Matt, Thank you for posting this fantastic JHS "Sigma" "Seal Velour"! I don't believe I have seen this type of liner design from JHS. The Velour finish does look great, same with the condition. I think you are correct on the dating maybe a bit earlier in the 1930s.Here the long promised Hückel (I'm sorry, Steve, for taking so long):
JHS Sigma - Seal Velour - grey with black ribbon - late 30s (?) - size 5 (57)
This is the best/finest velour I've ever held in my hands!
open crown
inside: unusual lining in purple and white (unfortunately a bit worn out)
grey sweatband with golden print
Hückel Logo on the lining
Logo of the seller: "Ortmann - Spandau" (since 1920 part of Berlin)
(at least until 1941 at the same address)
labels (unfortunately, a piece of foam sticks over it, which cannot be removed without damaging the rest)
Matt, Super! Would be interesting to know what companies F.G.M. sourced from. Some time ago some green trachten velour hats were shown here, which reminded me of mine:
F.G.M. should be Franz Gober Munich - like Marks Bayerland
Here's my FGM - "Sport Velour" - late 50s/early 60s? - size 57 (unfortunately a bit too small)
upbrim
brim down
inside
funny enough not from Bavaria but the opposite end of Germany:
Hut-Gundel in Bremerhaven - on the sweatband and the plastic stiffener
the label
Matt, I have seen diagonal split liners like this before but not from JHS.Thank you, guys, for the compliments!
The velour felt of the F.G.M. is really beautiful,
but the velour of the Hückel is absolutely fantastic!
Unfortunately, both hats are about size 57 (7 1/8) and too small for me... Very sad!
So maybe I will give them up with a heavy heart...
@Steve:
I've also never seen such a lining design before - and the colour, too.
But what does that mean compared to your expertise?
And in your opinion it's maybe even mid-30s?
Matt, I don't believe it's black. Unfortunately I am not sure where it is so I can't confirm. Also sadly the brim was shortened and the form changed sometime post 1960.Thanks, Steve, for the compilation of beautiful old lining work.
Is the colour of the JHS "Standard" liner also purple or is it black?
Thank you, guys, for the compliments!

Unusual proportions for a trachten hat, Matt. They are almost always smaller brimmed and have more taper. Very nice. Some time ago some green trachten velour hats were shown here, which reminded me of mine:
