I am not sure who made this for Stetson Europe (Friedrich W. Schneider). My guess is Spanish hat company Fernandez and Roche.

You could well be correct Steve. All I am going by is that when I bought it in Jan 2014 from Burnham Hats (in England), their website stated
" Today the company is split into two Licences with FWS hats based in Cologne, manufacturing the whole range for Europe ......"

Out of interest I looked up the website for FWS and read "1998: STETSON licence for Europe. Beginning of new production in Hartha, Saxony, in a new environment".

By reading the words "manufacturing" and "new production" perhaps I am adding two and two together and getting five?

I believe Stetson Europe caps are made in Saxony. I have not heard of FWS making felt hats. I know they have / had an association with Fernandez and Roche.

Wegener "Seal", size 57cm, 5 1/2 inch crown open, 2 5/8 inch brim, probably mid to later 1950s. Great Seal felt finish / color and very high quality components / construction. Also has crown side ventilation with breathable liner.

Rehfus & Cie. "Olympia Extra Qualität", Point 5 1/2, Crown 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches, probably early to mid 1950s. The felt is of a heavier weight but pliable plus a great shade of blue with a very nice finish. High quality components and construction. I really like the form and color contrast.
