Wayne, Good see you back. Really fantastic find! The most important label is present. Yes it's an original and a real beauty. You wear it well too.Hope this is the appropriate thread. First acquisition for a while. I strongly suspect this is Borsalino is pre-war, but unfortunately no labels or tags other than the crown sticker.

Thanks Steve - I haven't really left, just cut back on the hat purchases a lot! This one was too good to pass thoughWayne, Good see you back. Really fantastic find! The most important label is present. Yes it's an original and a real beauty. You wear it well too.
Wonderful! I just mentioned it to him and he said he can't quite recall - oh to have so many hats pass my hands as to forget something like this eh?I used to own this hat and can confirm it is indeed pre-war. Sold it to @baronkurtz who was in Australia at the time though he has been known to live in the UK.

They are great, but the asking price was just not realistic for me. I'm amazed actually that they seem to have sold.I am not particularly fond of stiff felts, but these misto bombettas are fantastic!
A really nice find, Daniel. It wears its "battle scars" with honour. Congrats. This little hat has suffered some repairs but is definitely a wonderful second fu Lazaro in the collection! It is tough to get good pics of a black hat.
The very, very fine thin felt is in great condition but there are clear wear marks from the crease at the front and back. If I have Ignacio flip it inside out it will look good as new.
The seller listed it as midnight blue, but next to another black hat it looks pretty black to me…

Wonderful survivor. Does indeed look black, but a real Lazzaro is always a good find. This little hat has suffered some repairs but is definitely a wonderful second fu Lazaro in the collection! It is tough to get good pics of a black hat.
