Seems insane to me honestly. To rebuild to that level, seems easier to just make another boot.Willie asked me to send the boots back to them at my expense. They will make alterations and send them back to me at their expense.
Gave him this file showcasing what needs to be altered. Waiting for his confirmation that it's all clear, then I'll send them back.

Most fun thing about Panerais is how they work with every kind of strap you can imagine.
I think so too, but not my call. On the other hand I hope they can just trim and re-stitch the existing materials to reduce waste. No idea how anyone could fit a boot this size with this kind of shaft and instep comfortably in terms of him/me reselling these.Seems insane to me honestly. I have to wonder if that last is part of the problem on that particular build. It's odd that the build could be so out of whack considering all the measurements u gave him. I'm simply expecting a well fitting boot (after giving them many 2d and 3d foot and leg measurements) that is built to my spec (1 midsole, not 2). And yes, like I mentioned, the 2 layer midsole is debatable as you can call one of those layers a leather outsole. But I'll see if he agrees to these alterations or only the shaft replacement and related adjustments (points 3 and 4) in the document. That would also be good enough for me.
Well here's how he put it:I have to wonder if that last is part of the problem on that particular build. It's odd that the build could be so out of whack considering all the measurements u gave him. What are your thoughts on this?
Well here's how he put it:
"Hi bro good day. my apologies for the wider shaft, my staff might have given too much allowance on the shaft. we normally give 6-7cm space on the upper shaft and 5cm on the ankle."
So he doesn't do everything himself (kind of expected that), but has a staff that works on boots. Maybe a new member or apprentice who didn't calculate correctly or was too generous with the spacing.
For example:
I gave my upper calf measurements at 29,5. By his logic the result should have been 35,5-36,5cm. I want 36-37cm so it would have been right on the spot according to his own instructions. But it came out at 41cm, which is way off.

~520usd shipped in EU for a CXL pair. Horse rump is around 120usd extra.I’m not familiar with this brand. Do you mind me asking what the rough price is for their engineers?

I like that shade of green, I have a waxy version but it's brighter. I'll have to see if I can darken it a bit...
I usually wear winklepickers. It's what suits me the most and what i like the most aesthetically. Not many Men do it anymore, it was more common in the 70s and 80s, which is a shame. I usually wear skinny trousers/jeans or at least very slim fit trousers/jeans, they always go well with it. But you have to be a certain type for that i guess. View attachment 692815
These are from UK brand Underground, i really like them, they last very long and are high quality.
I also wear Martens from the default model to model "Jadon" : View attachment 692816
And something i wear pretty often are cuban heel Winklepickers:

If it comes to my winklepickers i have my models in leather and black suede to give them a velvet look.
It's save to say that i really don't care about conformity and what some mens fashion blog think is trendy or look good, i wear what i like. I don't cuff my pants for example, this seems to be very modern, but i don't care for that, never did.
