These are my Xero Shoes “Denver” model.
My daily wear in Brooklyn. They’re a “barefoot” shoe, canvas upper and flannel liner with glued on sole. They’re essentially moccasins built to survive long term use on concrete sidewalks.
They’re crazy durable, I thought the flannel liner would wear down on the heel, but it’s been fine. This is maybe my third year in them, and the fake leather (“vegan leather”) on the inside of the eyelets has started to rub through in a few places.
I like them, but I want an all leather version with a stitched sole as an upgrade.
Lots of great options have been posted! Thanks for all the ideas!

I really wonder why Red Wing calls these "Oxfords". They are a textbook example of a Derby.

Zerrows flat toe last Engineer Boots in natural CXL. My wife thinks I've got cowboy boots and seems to be suitably impressed. I wish the wait time for Zerrows stuff wasn't 12-18 months because I'd order something from them in a heartbeat - the easiest to get on / off and still best fitting engineers Ive come across.

Those boots are fantastic with the black sole.
