Well, if it's not desired, see if "show business" people might like it; it has some "Bling" factor. IDK; it's not at all like the Military/Indy Jones style of jackets I favor, so I have no useful comments to offer other than the above. We all make mistakes. Best Wishes!

The jacket is based on a Buco J-31. A motorcycle jacket from the late '40s - early 50s. Michael Jackson fans and "show business people" are definitely not the intended buying audience.

An "Original" Buco J-31 jacket would be worth something. Comparing a 5* User-Defined Replica to an Original is comparing apples to oranges.

You seemed unaware that the jacket was based on a J-31, given your Michael Jackson and "show business people" references. I was simply sharing information on the basis of the jacket. That is all.

Perhaps I was inexact in wording previous comments, and I apologize for any possible imprecision. OTOH, you may be making unwarranted assumptions.

No offense to previous poster, but the apparently user-defined jacket under discussion (and pictured above) is very far from original J-31.

FWIW, I'm getting a "whiff" of VFJ elitism.

However, attempting to utilize the jacket maker to custom-make whatever you may want is right down the fairway for this discussion. You want an A-2; I was hoping for some kind of Buco J-31 back then (worlds of new wisdom and knowledge later; I know that's not sound). The maker is Five Star...the discussions here are real-world examples being shared along with more granular topics, all within the 5* chain here. At the very least, I would never have made my choice in "goat," as there could never really be a way to artificially (or by real-world "wear and tear") get this to look anything like a J-31....yes, mistakes WERE made. Money was, in my own personal opinion WASTED. Back then, there was no Brake House or something like it that was well-known. We do what we do, and we learn what we like and what is tolerable. Shared experiences here help users to make their own more informed choices.

Sorry...I'm not aware of this VFJ that you speak of.
