Great photo and great hat. I might suggest you hang out in the Northwest another full week. The temp Friday was 104, today it is now 101, and it is not supposed to get too much below that level for a few more days.

My Milan Stratoliner served me well for a day of hitting the fleamarkets.

I first ran across this cool old photo.

I then came across this Lion hat. It is too small, but for $6 I got it to add to the collection.

I could not pass up this Gene Autry book, only $5.

In another shop we ran across these Beaver Brand boxes. I don’t think I saw any like this at the auction.

All in all it was a good day at the market. I will add that at the place I bought the Lion hat, the lady ask did I happen to see the old Stetson back there.
But as my luck goes .. the old Stetson was gone.

So it really made for a fine day indeed!

Thank you all for the compliments on the buckskin.

Today a visit to another lighthouse, this one a bit more far away from my house (aprox. 100kms) near Peniche.

But first a stop at a famous beach, Praia da Consulação. From here we can see the lighthouse and the Berlengas islands, a natural reserve (it have a lighthouse too).

Beautiful coastline Joao, glad you didn't lose your hat. It was also a beautiful day in Tacoma, Wa today for the Kirkland Concours d'Elegance. I hope I don't annoy anyone with too many cellphone pixs of some of my favorite cars. Got there early and there was still a bit of fog hanging around.

I don't own a car and have no interest in cars beyond the aesthetics. Now these ones really have great aesthetics. It's a rare car produced later than the 60's that says something to me - some of these really sing.

Felt was certainly not the only material they could block into outstanding styles and shapes, back in the 30s! Art Deco cars when best!
