Experience with coats from Private White VC?

Hey all,

Been looking into some of the coats from Private White VC, namely the Admiral's Great Coat, and the Donegal Overcoat they have in collaboration with Permanent Style. I can't find too much in-depth info about their stuff and it's a bit expensive to just get on a whim, so I would appreciate any firsthand experience.

I have a couple of their waxed canvas pieces and some of their knitwear – everything they make is definitely a bit on the pricier side, but their stuff is extremely well made (certainly a cut well above Belstaff or Barbour). They usually do a couple of great end-of-season sales if you're not in a rush.

I've had a couple of their coats and the quality and materials are second to none I'd say. I had their jeep coat which really felt a bit too dressy for me in the end and I sold it, seemed a bit too high end for walking the dog in! I had a moleskin bomber and I still have an older wax twin track, everything has held up well too.

I will say their sizing is frustrating and the way its changed over time from size 12345 to whatever it goes up to now.

I have a flight jacket, which was my gateway drug into leather jackets. The zipper stop unfortunately fell off after about 50-100 wears (Riri 2 way).

But, PWVC is currently covering the shipping and repair, so maybe a win on the customer service side.
