In my experience the Horsebutt Attractions use can look like that without any artificial distressing. The light in the pictures above also helps.
^^ Fantastic! Sounds like similar construction as Nick's boots (or White's too) that are in Spokane, WA, however both of them are not as known for Engineer style boots. I have incoming a pair of John Lofgren's, which will be the first "quality" pair of Engineers I have owned.
I found a $75.00 Singer leather/canvas/saddle style sewing machine at our local Habitat store. I have not yet bought it, I may this weekend, just as I would like to try my hand making some things out of leather. This is starting to inspire me to pick up something like that, and tinker around a bit. Would be a great winter/basement project.
I would enjoy seeing some photos of how you made those, heck, do a thread on your boots - they are more than worth it!
kamusta?
New here and thought I'd share! Love my Lone Wolf engineers, they're my daily riding boots and are due for a resole within the next couple of months.
ATTRACTIONS CO STEERHIDE LOT269 in the urban jungle of Singapore! Fits like a glove after quite a break-in period

Those look fantastic. Whats the denim?
Black. I never actually spoke with anyone at S&S. I reached out to John himself and he answered all my questions. I have to say, for the man himself to answer my questions I would spend double the money. You can’t put a price on customer service like that.
Also, I dislike "statements without data" and a recent comment indicates something along the lines of "White's ... being just ok." Even for thier newer, Goodyear welt constructed boots, this is a mistake to state.
The photo below shows a sample of my boot collection. As per the production dates, 2 of the pair of White's in this photo are 15 - 19 years old. The Red Wing IR's are 9 years old. There is one pair of White's that is goodyear welted, and they are fantastic as a lighter-weight, $350 pair of boots. The JL's and Nick's (both pair) are all new. None have been re-soled or rebuilt. Sorry for posting non-engineer or harness boots in this section.
