Thanks, Chippewa is looking pretty good. I want a pair that I can beat up without feeling bad about it. I have several pairs of boots but for the most part they are to nice to subject to really ruff use.
Sancho are even cheaper than Sendra and good handmade boots!

Size? I saw some really cool Chippewa in a color called “leather jacket” brown on eabay for $90 but only in larger wide sizes.

FWIW, my Chippewas are supposedly an E / Wide fit, but on me (and I'm very much a Medium / D), they're bang on right. In fact, the left boot (my larger foot) is going to take a bit of stretching through wear before I can wear a sock of any thickness in it. Was worried at first I'd bought the wrong size!

Yep, my bad, as I forgot to mention that Brian ("Brian The Bootmaker") resoled them, swapping out the buckles too. I bought them second-hand. The horseshide is aging nicely.resoled by Brian...
Those sure look nice.View attachment 189104 Saw these Chippewa today. Heel and midsole look nicer than standard Chippewa fair. Rough out looked pretty good. Oveall finish was ok. They were $289. Would have worn them home at $189.
