According to his size chart, it looks we both require a large (shrugs). I prefer to buy hats with an actual measurement rather than the generic small, medium, or large categories, but; I do occasionally gamble with them.

My view also.

Indeed, rightly or wrongly, I sometimes judge the probably quality of a hat on whether or not real sizes are offered.

Great ID photo!

I have an Irish made hat (can't recall the maker right now) that is very nice, but a bit large. For that reason, I rarely wear it. I want to say the maker is "Harris", but I'll have to look. I wish I'd ordered it one size smaller.

Is it tweed - could be a Harris tweed wool that it's made from, that might be what you're thinking? Though if Irish, I'd have thought Donegal Tweed to be more likely.

I've just bought two !! One grey and one brown, both in a tweedish type material

From a high street fashion shop called H&M here in the UK....a snip at £4.99 each...

Excuse my Irish bog farmer appearance ;)

Excellent price, and well found. I'll have to make a trip to my nearest H&M.

As an aside my teenage daughter hates my 8-piece caps, but loves H&M. I wonder how she'll react when she finds out I'm suddenly fashionable.

Nice looking cap, I'm sold. I'll be ordering one soon.

And, ukali1066, great looking cap there too.
